Plantech offers a professional consulting engineering service in various disciplines to a multitude of clients.  Various electrical and mechanical engineering consulting services for shopping centres have been undertaken by Plantech, one of which was the Nkomo Village in Church Street, Atteridgeville, Pretoria.

The project which was completed in 2018 involved consulting services which included the design and overseeing of all electrical and mechanical services and installations related to the shopping centre.  This involved provision of air-conditioning for all shops and major tenants; full electrical installation of the development including a municipal substation, HT reticulation and LV distribution; 3 x 630kVA, 2 x 500kVA minisubs; 2 x 500 kVA, 1 x 400kVA backup generator system and 800 kWp photovoltaic (PV) rooftop renewable energy installation.
